(BIGBANG’s Alive Galaxy Tour sets a record-breaking ticket sale in Malaysia)
(28th July) BigBang’s Alive Galaxy Tour 2012 in Malaysia : Record-breaking 3,500 Fans Queued for Tickets; 95% Sold out!
Even though the concert date is happening three months down the road, the
BIGBANG Alive Galaxy Tour 2012 Malaysia concert already looks set to be the
concert of the year. Already touted as the BigBang’s first ever outdoor concert
to be held across Asia, it’s the talk of the town again for having attracted a
record-breaking number of fans to queue up for ticket sales, and also for having
sold the most tickets within a day for any K-Pop concert in Malaysia.
A record 3,500 fans turned
up to grab the coveted tickets and a total of over 11,000 tickets were sold
today, making this the largest number of tickets sold within a day for any K-Pop
concert in Malaysia.
Ticket sales opened officially at 10:30am today at fahrenheit88 and as of
6.00pm today, 95% of the total 12,000 tickets up for sale were sold out. As at
6pm today, only Category 5-8 tickets are available for sale (RM 288, RM 198, RM
188, RM 98) on RedTix or TicketCharge.
Many fans started queuing from as early as 22 hours ahead of launch and were
eyeing the highest tier category (RM600), as evidenced by how this category sold
out the quickest in mere 30 minutes. Just as impressive were Category 2 (RM
588), Category 3 (RM 488) and Category 4 (RM 388) tickets, as they too sold out
within an hour.
“We expected a huge turnout as we know the huge pull BIGBANG has in Malaysia,
but it was the community spirit of all the fans that touched us, as they helped
each other out in the queue and on Twitter and Facebook. It was also very
beautiful to see fans of all ages, races and demographics come together; proving
that music is truly a universal language. We are certain that the show will not
disappoint and will promise fans a great concert on 27 October”, said Wendy Ng,
Executive Producer of Running Into The Sun, the organizer of the concert.

lifetime – it has a perfect combination of pure talent; spectacular special
effects; and amazingly contagious energy, all choreographed beautifully to give
you a masterpiece of music celebration.”, says Creative Director of Running Into

We also spoke with some fans about their experience queuing and buying their
tickets for the concert.
Ms Choong AP who had queued with a friend were only able to secure single
seats by the time it was their turn. “So many super big big big big fans started
queuing really early and it’s super hard for us to get tickets. I can’t sit with
my friend, but we’re just happy to at least get a ticket each. Now we can’t wait
for October to come!”
On the other hand, long-time fan Mars was unable to get her ticket at
fahrenheit88 as she had to work. She shared that she had a lot of trouble
accessing the online ticketing as the servers were busy. She is now hoping for
more tickets to be added or a second show.
