Sulbbang (Makgeolli bread)
is a variety of tteok (Korean rice cake),
made by steaming balls of fermented dough made from rice flour
(or Barley flour) and rice wine such as makgeolli.
It is one of the varieties of tteok
that is typically served during the summer,
because its sweet and sour taste is believed to be
refreshing in hot weather, as well as to aid in digestion.
Barley alcohol bread muffin
Ingredients
Makgeolli - 400g
("Makgeolli" is a traditional alcoholic beverage in Korea.)
Organic Barley flour (or wheat flour) - 600g
raisins - 100g , peas - 100g , adzuki beans - 100g
baking powder - 1 tspn
Organic sugar - 1 tspn
Milk - 300g , Eggs -2
Mix all of the ingredients and keep it at the room
temperature for about around two hours
Boil the water at first after place steamer on the stove.
Plunge into half of the dough in the steamer
and then steam them,about 1/2 hour.
Garnish it with peas and adzuki beans.
