The difference between skin lotion and mist
Whenever skin is dry, mist comes up to our mind!
What is the role of mist?
and am I using it properly?
Today I would like to write down things that
I was curious and share with you guys.
Skin lotion and mist seems like same liquid cosmetics.
However there is difference in this too.
First of all, the function of skin lotion and mist are different.
Skin lotion works as pore care cosmetic.
Mist provides nutrition and moisture.
Skin lotion is used as basic cosmetic and balances moisture
and pH of a face after washing. It can also get rid of residue in our skins.
Mist is a kind of moisturizer and it provides moisture (water),
and fixes our make up.
People carry mist around and apply it on top of the make up.
After make-up, when the face feels dry,
we can not apply skin lotion on so we use mist,
which does not spread the make-up and keep face moist.
It is used as provider of moisture and skin soothing.
It helps provide essential oil when we are fixing the make-up
Secondly, there is difference between the method of applying them.
People usually soak a piece of cotton, dipped in toner and gently place it on face.Mist is usually in spray form so people just spray it in their face.
Since mist and toner (skin lotion) is similar, many people ask
if it is okay to use mist as an alternative of toner.
Then, should we learn how to use mist in a proper way?
1. After washing your face apply it before the moisture runs away.
When you wash your face your pore will be opened and then closed,
and when you provide moisture before moisture runs away,
you can keep moist skin.
For your skin, it will be beneficial to have a habit of applying
mist before moisture runs away.
2. After applying mist, apply other moist suppliers in addition.
When you apply other moist suppliers like moisturizing cream,
it prevents moisture to evaporate.
If you have your make ups on you should gently use your palm to help skin absorb the moisture or tap your skin gently.
It prevents moisture in your face to evaporate.
3. Apply it all over your face, 15cm away from your face.
Then mist can be applied all over your face evenly.
4. When you feel your skin is dry apply it often even
outside the house or in office.
5. Before using mist identify the type of the mist.
People tend to shake it before use so it is necessary to identify
whether it is nitrogen packing or LPG packing.
If it is LPG packing, it is better to shake the mist
because there are mixture in LPG gas.
However, do not shake mist with nitrogen packing before using mist.
Nitrogen is not mixed with mist but it is only used when you are spraying.
So, nitrogen gas is covering the liquid (solution)
and with the pressure of nitrogen, only the solution is sprayed.
6. Apply it in the shade. When you apply under the sun,
the uv is high and moisture of your skin will tend to evaporate.
So, remember to use mist in places you can avoid sun.
