Imbi market

Imbi Market

Imbi market, a morning market that mainly sells fruits,
vegetables, clothes and some basic neccesities.
It is very crowded, as the things sell here are fresh,
variety and at a reasonable price.

This is a tropical fruit with hybrid of Rambutan and Lychee.
The flesh exposed when the outer skin is peeled off.

It is sweet with little bit of sour, slightly grape-like to taste.
Texture slight like lychee, but its supple than Lychee.
A good try as many foreigners like it very much!!
However, this fruit is seasonal, the trees flower around March- October.

Fresh corn also available at Imbi Market.
It is very fresh and sweet.
You may order and eat on the spot,
the seller will just steam the corn for you..

How to go there?

Along Jalan Melati and right behind Imbi Palace Restaurant
Note that the road in front of the market is one way.
You can park along the market which has two entrances.
There is also an open air car park which charges RM2 per entry.
