Hailam Kopitiam (HALAL) @ Wangsa walk , KL

I had a light meal with my friend in
Hailam Kopitiam located in Wangsa walk today.

Since I had a good memory about another franchise at Bangsar
last time I occasionally have found this local Cafe.

This is kind of sweet place to have a meal or enjoy a cup of tea without
any burden for local people as a franchise Cafe.

The atmosphere of the restaurant is retro style.
which shows the relaxing accommodation.

Wait, what does ' Kopitiam ' mean ?

A kopitiam or kopi tiam is a traditional coffee shop
found in Southeast Asia, patronised for meals and beverages.
The word kopi is a Malay/Hokkien term for coffee and
tiam is the Hokkien/Hakka term for shop.(wikipedia)

Nasi Lemak Special with Rendang Ayam
(Malaysian Coconut Milk Rice with Chicken Rendang)

Malaysian coconut rice, served with anchovy hot chile sauce,
fried anchovies, fried peanut, sliced cucumber or tomato and hard-boiled egg.

Nasi lemak is always enjoyable whether at breakfast or any other time of day,
and some stalls still retain the tradition of wrapping the rice
in a banana leaf to enhance its flavour.

Char Kuey Teow
(stir-fried rice cake strips)

Char kuey Teow  is a popular noodle dish in Malaysia
Char kway teow, loosely translated as “stir-fried rice cake strips”,
is made by stir-frying flat rice noodles with light and dark soy sauce,
a dash of belachan (shrimp paste), tamarind juice, bean sprouts, Chinese chives,
prawns, chilli, lap cheong (Chinese sausages) and cockles.

Mix Fried Mee
(Fried Yin Yong)

which serves Fried Yin Yong,Cantonese stir fry combination of both flat
and thin rice noodles in an egg sauce and complete with pickled green chillies.

This menu seems to be easy for most people even for someone with a picky appetite.
It is one of the frequent meals in Malaysia because people crave it.

Lam Mee
(Birthday Noodles)

Lam Mee (淋面) is a must serve during
birthday celebration to symbolize longevity.

The conservative taste of food may be easy.
However when I ate Ram Mee,the noodles were not wholly rubbed.
It was a little bit sorry as the noodle stuck together
