1Malaysia Lantern Tourism Festival

Last week when I went to Pasar Seni
the Lantern festival was going on at Central Market.

Although the big festival was over, there's a small scale
of
display of various kinds of lanterns at Central Market
for foreigners if you have some time,
I recommend you to go there with your friends or families.

In case of the poeple who can not participate,
I put the Latern Festival photos on the web.
Please enjoy watching them although it's indirect.

What does the Chinese lantern festival mean?

traditionally signifies the end of the harvest season.
Malaysian Chinese homes celebrate with family get-togethers, prayers,
and mooncakes, while kids show off their latest lantern designs.
Malls and landmarks in the city like Petaling Street
will be gaily decorated with thousands of lit lanterns,
while various other activities all add up to a festive atmosphere.

How do I get There?
To get to Central Market, the easiest way is to
take the Putra LRT train and get off at the "Pasar Seni” station.
As you exit the station, you will be able to see the
market directly opposite the main road.
